Columbus, OH – Every year, thousands of people descend upon Columbus, OH for the Arnold Sports Festival. What most people do not know, is that the festival weekend also helps After-School All-Stars Ohio. Funds were raised to provide programming for 100 students for an entire year!

On March 3rd, over 200 guests attended ASAS Ohio’s annual fundraiser, Experience Arnold. Guests enjoyed great food, cigars, and mingling with Gov. Schwarzenegger, Gov. Kasich, as well as inductees into the International Sports Hall of Fame (ISHOF), an organization that recognizes some of the world’s greatest sports legends. Dr. Robert Goldman and Fairfax Hackley, from ISHOF, proudly escorted several inductees: Herschel Walker, Lou Ferrigno and Apolo Ohno to Experience Arnold.

Eric Hillman, CEO and Co-Founder of Europa Sports Products, returned as the title sponsor for this year’s fundraiser, as well as corporate sponsors: Iovate (MuscleTech), WWE, Fox Sports Ohio, Cameron Mitchell Premiere Events, Hahn Loeser and Hollywood Imprints. Additional funds came from two sources at the Expo: Arnold’s booth and the Miss Arnold Teen Fitness Pageant. ASAS Ohio is extremely grateful for all of the support we received from the Arnold Sports Festival Weekend!

After-School All-Stars is a national after-school program founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1992. (ASAS) provides free, comprehensive after-school programming that focuses on academics, health & fitness and enrichment activities. It was first introduced to Columbus schools in 2000 and later expanded into Cleveland and Toledo. Through the support of Governor John R. Kasich’s office, it currently serves over 800 students in ten schools in the state of Ohio. To learn more about ASAS Ohio, visit
