Ohio Governor’s Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives:

The Ohio Governor’s Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiative has been essential to the statewide expansion of After-School All-Stars since 2012. Fox Sports:

Since 2010, FOX Sports Networks (FSN) has worked with After-School All-Stars to continue its Sports as a Hook programming with the goal of tackling the childhood obesity crisis by helping kids become more physically active and knowledgeable about healthy eating choices. The following FSN regions are actively involved through media support, volunteerism and field trips for ASAS students: FOX Sports Ohio, Fox Sports South, FOX Sports Florida, FOX Sports San Diego, and FOX Sports Southwest. LBrands

Since its inception in 1993, the Foundation has contributed more than $255 million to support non-profit organizations, and is committed to supporting community programs that focus on the health and empowerment of women, nurturing and mentoring children and improving education. With the support of the LBrands Foundation, 50 middle-school aged All-Star students are able to attend CampUs, a week-long, future readiness camp at The Ohio State University. Students experience college life by living in the dorms, attending classes, visiting different colleges, and participating in career panel discussions.

Lucas County Department of Jobs & Family services

The Lucas County relationship started in the spring of 2013. They awarded us funding through a grant to support our first schools in the Toledo area, Birmingham & Walbridge Elementary Schools. After completing two years of programming, Lucas County DOJFS was thrilled with the impact ASAS was having on the students & families in the program, that they awarded us additional funds to expand into a third school, Hawkins Elementary.

The Arnold Sports Festival:

The Arnold Sports Festival is the largest multi-sport event in the nation. The Festival welcomes more than 18,000 athletes annually who compete in more than 45 sports & events, including 12 Olympic sports. Thanks to the tremendous support of the Arnold Sports Fitness After-School All-Stars Ohio is able to offer outstanding health and fitness programs throughout the year to our students. In addition, our annual fundraiser is held in conjunction with the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, allowing us to raise needed funds to continue our programs throughout the year. Learn more…
