Lucas County Department of Jobs & Family Services
The Lucas County relationship started in the spring of 2013. They awarded us funding through a grant to support our first schools in the Toledo area, Birmingham & Walbridge Elementary Schools. After completing two years of programming, Lucas County DOJFS was thrilled with the impact ASAS was having on the students & families in the program, that they awarded us additional funds to expand into a third school, Hawkins Elementary.
Since 2010, FOX Sports has worked with After-School All-Stars to support its health & fitness initiatives with the goal of tackling the childhood obesity crisis through physical activities and healthy lifestyle education. The Arnold Sports Festival
The Arnold Sports Festival, the largest multi-sport festival in the nation with more than 22,000 athletes competing in more than 80 sports and events, offers a variety of ticket options for fans of the the Arnold Sports Festival weekend. Thanks to the tremendous support of the Arnold Sports Festival, After-School All-Stars Ohio is able to offer outstanding health and fitness programs to our students. In addition, our annual fundraiser, Experience Arnold, is held on the Friday of the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, allowing us to raise needed funds to continue our programs throughout the year. Since its inception in 1993, the Lbrands Foundation has contributed more than $255 million to support non-profit organizations, and is committed to supporting community programs that focus on the health and empowerment of women, nurturing and mentoring children and improving education. With the support of the LBrands Foundation, 50 middle-school aged All-Star students are able to attend CampUs, a week-long, future readiness camp at The Ohio State University. Students experience college life by living in the dorms, attending classes, visiting different colleges, and participating in career panel discussions.
