Through enrichment activities, we provide children with unique, transformative opportunities to develop extracurricular talents and build their social, artistic, and emotional skills.
CampUs is a week-long future readiness camp organized by After-School All-Stars Ohio. Each summer, ASAS Ohio offers this unique summer experience to at-risk middle-school aged students in underserved communities. CampUs is designed to equip middle-school aged students with the tools to succeed in high school and to inspire long-term career planning.
Throughout the year, we work with wonderful community partners. We would like to highlight a few of them that have contributed to the enrichment of our All-Star children year after year.
Metroparks Toledo has worked with ASAS Ohio to create week-long day camps in the summer for several years. For many of our All-Stars, this is their first experience in the parks. They learn about nature, participate in health & fitness games, and try new outdoor activities like canoeing, archery, and hiking.
Local Matters teaches children and adults about healthful food: how to grow it, how to cook it, and how to access it affordably. We are fortunate to have this program in both our Toledo and Columbus locations.
The Toledo Museum of Art invites our Toledo All-Stars to the museum every week. Our students participate in art classes to explore different mediums for creating their own art. They also tour the museum to learn about art history.
