We love our volunteers! Whether it's a one time or a long-term commitment, volunteers truly help make our program a success. There are countless ways you can volunteer. You can help during programming at a school site, or provide support at our office. Do you need service hours? We can help with that, too! Here are three different types of volunteers:
A Program Volunteer works with children on a regular/semi-regular basis during program hours at a school site. They will assist the programming staff in the areas of sports, academics, or enrichment.
**Background Check Required**
A Volunteer Assistant has the option to work with or without children. Work may take place either at a school site or at the After-School All-Stars office. A Volunteer Assistant provides support with paperwork, logistical operations, organization, etc.
Throughout the year, we have special events that require volunteer support. An Event Volunteer may or may not work directly with children. Typical support includes, but is not limited to: event registration, set-up, tear-down, logistics, communication, etc. Some examples of events include: Global Youth Service Day projects, Career Panels, and quarterly Family Nights.
