Volunteer Opportunities

We love our volunteers! Whether it's a one time or a long-term commitment, volunteers truly help make our program a success. There are countless ways you can volunteer. You can help support programming at a school site or at our office. Are you a high school student in need of community service hours? We can help with that, too!

Corporate Volunteers

Our corporate volunteers brighten the days of our students and support special events and drives.  Opportunities for involvement include:

  • Adopting A School - matching your volunteers with a nearby ASAS programming site to volunteer monthly or quarterly throughout the year, building relationships with our students
  • Family Engagement Nights - supporting student activities and serving a meal to our families
  • Joining/leading student activities during regular programming (between 3-6 PM)
  • Supporting our Thanksgiving meal drives and Winter Break drives to provide food and supplies during school breaks
  • Raising support for our youth through company-wide events, dress down Fridays, or other team competitions

Thanksgiving Meal Drive

Our annual Thanksgiving Meal Drive offers you or your organization a wonderful opportunity to provide a Thanksgiving dinner for a family in need. Businesses, schools, religious groups, and individuals have generously supported this effort year after year. If your group would like to support this drive, please contact Heidi Weaver-Smith.

Winter Break Comfort Bag Drive

Winter Break is an exciting time for kids - No school for two weeks! However, many of the children we serve face challenges during the two week break. The majority of the students we serve qualify for the Federal Free & Reduced Meal program, which provides children in need with both breakfast and lunch during the school day. Without access to daily meals during winter break, food insecurity is even worse. To support this drive contact Heidi Weaver-Smith.
