Through S.T.E.A.M. enrichment activities, we provide children with unique, transformative opportunities to develop extracurricular talents and build their social, artistic, and emotional skills. Our tactile enrichment curriculums introduce and engage students with topics outside of traditional classroom subjects. Our All-Stars may spend their enrichment time learning about architecture, gardening, astronomy, music, and yoga, just to name a few.
Throughout the year, we partner with amazing organizations in the community. We would like to highlight a few of them that have contributed to the enrichment of our All-Star children year after year.
Columbus Symphony COSI provides us with engaging STEM kits that we have used during our program. Kits have covered topics like the human body, dinosaurs, space, and so much more.
Girl Scouts of Western Ohio introduces girls to practical topics in a way that reinforces the Girl Scout focus areas: girl led, cooperative learning, and experiential learning. All programs are led by Girl Scout trained and caring staff.
Girls on the Run Northwest Ohio provides dynamic lessons that instill valuable life skills including the important connection between physical and emotional health.
Metroparks Toledo has partnered with ASAS Ohio to create week-long day camps in the summer. For many of our All-Stars, this is their first experience in the parks. They learn about nature, participate in health & fitness games, and try new outdoor activities like canoeing, archery, and hiking.
The Toledo Museum of Art invites our Toledo All-Stars to the museum every week. Our students participate in art classes to explore different mediums for creating their own art. They also tour the museum to learn about art history.
Toledo GROWs educates youth about all aspects of gardening including how to grow a garden and the benefits of eating healthy sustainable fruits and vegetables.
